I knew that Fjord was going to be easier and a favorite, especially in a more organic way. Ideas came easily and plentiful. The classic warrior leather armor, but with a fantasy samurai vibe. I did the armor piping in leather cord, so look closley for the texture. I had to space out the characters as I would be making them all during a long period, with projects overlapping in various stages of completions. I would start his design about fourth place. This character would fuel the intermediate flame of creation and help hold my focus. Way too fun to make! Pssst! Real chainmail.
Fjord was made from a Mafix brand Henry Cavil Superman. Sculpted armour, robot arms for the arm guards, Legolas’ ears, shoulder pauldron and hood, Mego 8 inch planet of the apes pants for the sleeve, a 12 inch figures’ pants downsized for the legs, leather, suede, and real chainmail! The swords and dagger are 80’s 90’s retro, but slightly modified. The base Superman figure came with two heads and both are attached with magnets.
When it came to accessories, the first thing that came to mind and I made immediately, was the keg! I found this little plastic barrel in a bulk purchase. I have no idea what company it’s from but perfect. The label is just a laser printed paper with Mod Podge to seal it. The Star Razor was made from a vintage DnD figure from the 80’s, mine! I found this in a box of old stuff and shaved it down to fit the scabbard, which is from Legolas/ Cadeuces. The sword of fathoms is also vintage and shaved a bit. It from Pirates of Dark Water, with a bit of sculpting. Both have real leather wrapped handles.
