Making

Nott The Brave

I knew Nott was going to be a challenge, so I started her second. The mask was how it all started. From a retro 90’s Kabuki figure, slightly modified. Major surgery required. A six inch figure shortened all over. Just the shortening was somewhat challenging on this scale. A bit difficult to decide where to cut, with little room to spare at times, just to keep the joints freely moving. Nott The Brave, was Not The So Easy!

Break out the Black and Decker! Surgery time! Jeesh, it was like making my own figure at times. Scale, this whole project had to have scale and I think Nott and Cad were crucial in getting right. Nott was made from an anime style artist figure buck. I needed the larger cranium for a cute and comical look, but realistic in size. Scaled to the other figures, and then the body scaled to the chosen head.

Nott’s clothes were attached to the body at crucial points as to not hinder pose-ability. The pants are tactical gloves from a larger military fire, just altered and glued. The straps and belts are from random LOTR figures. The mask was made from a retro Kabuki figure I bought in the 90’s and sacrificed it because it was perfect to me, and Jester has her sickle. The baubles and such are just beading supplies and costume jewellery. A shotgun arm bandoleer for twelve inch size police figure for extra storage for knives. The whole look is rounded off by a mud and blood splattered four inch Thor hide cape, and ninety’s Star Wars cloak, both repainted for the dirty effect, because why wouldn’t Nott The Brave wear animal skins?!

Because of the delays in this whole project, the absolute finished figure with all accessories is below, have a look!
