Making

Yasha Nydoorin

I started Yasha second to last but found her design and build smooth and fun. She is made from a DC direct Supergirl figure with removable armor and scabbard. She came together with relative ease, a Robert E. Howard vibe in my head at the time. This figure definitely had to have real chain mail! The hair was a little hairy, pun intended. Taken from a wrestling figure. Extras happened afterwards.

The only drawback was broken  joints, I had to remold them. So it turned out all the peices were made and finished, then a final sub, then full assembly. The starting point was finding the right figure, a bit of a challenge. I actually made the scabbard first, and it was completed before I even molded the joints.

The base figure is a DC direct Super Girl. The belt is from a vintage spawn figure Angela. Boots were sculpted along with the pant seams. I chanelled Robert E howard for the barbarian look. I definitely wanted a lot of leather and fur. The mantle is two vintage Ewok parts joined, modified and painted. Them rest of the armour is random shop bits.

Because of the delays in this whole project, the absolute finished figure with all accessories is below, have a look!
